In central Aalborg, the darkness is lighted up by beautiful Christmas decorations hanging over the roads. You can also visit the big Christmas tree at Nytorv and get in areal Christmas mood.
If you want even more Christmas then I can recommend you to take a trip to Gammeltorv and experience one of Aalborg City's most cosy Christmas markets filled with everything your Christmas heart can desire. Here you got the opportunity to explore small stalls, scents for Christmas trees, take a walk in the Ferris wheel and see the beautiful view of the city center, warm up with some sweet drinks or sing along on the Christmas music. See opening hours and the program.
A trip to the Christmas market at Gammeltorv can possibly be combined with a skate tour at C. W. Obels Plads. The ice rink is open from November 29 until March 2020. The winter months can therefore be used to practice your skating skills. It is possible to bring your own skates and there is a skate rental shop. The shop is open weekdays at. 3 pm - 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 1 pm. 11 am - 6 pm and during the school holidays at. 12.00 - 20.00. See more information about the ice rink (only Danish information) at www.Aalborg.dk.
If it becomes too cold to be out in the winter weather, you can pull in at Aalborg Theater. You can read much more about the exciting performances taking place in December and in the new year on www.Aalborgteater.dk. As always, there are discounted rates for young people under 25 and students (regardless of age).
